Family Protection

Your greatest asset is your family, and protecting their future in the case of premature death or disability is critical. This includes a complete analysis of your financial situation and goals to assure the following elements are properly protected:

• House mortgage
• College funding & savings
• Disability protection

More than 50% of Americans are underinsured or not insured at all. Most who are insured, depend only on work-related coverage that is minimal at best to cover no more than final expenses.

Retirement Solutions

At Ascend Financial Group, planning for retirement is something each of us needs to do. Making smart choices about how much money you save, and what retirement planning savings vehicles you use, can mean the difference between having the income you need in retirement to live the lifestyle you want, or struggling financially. There is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to saving for retirement.

In our younger years we can afford to be risky with investments, since time is our side. However, once the family comes along, there is more to consider in being a bit less risky to better provide for their well-being. As we approach our fifties, we have to begin thinking of protecting retirement income sources.

Legacy Preparation

What we leave behind for our families should never include debts for funerals or medical bills. But often this is the case. Legacy preparation includes a final wishes document, will, and a final expense life insurance policy to offset and cover the “final expenses” that arise following a loved one’s death.

At Ascend Financial Group these policies are often smaller policies of $35,000 or less, and can be as small as $2,500. Amounts are usually based upon the person’s needs. These are whole life policies and will last the entire life of the insured. Often times these are necessary for seniors whose term policies have expired, but the need for some type of coverage is still necessary.
